Trippie Redd – Strike Out

Trippie Redd Strike Out

Trippie Redd is currently in a state of unconscious momentum, releasing single after single consistently lately. The Canton, Ohio-based rapper is preparing for the release of his upcoming full-length album, LIVE LOVE LAUGH DIE. It appears that a release date will eventually be announced, although Trippie Redd seems content in releasing multiple samplers to his fans. The scope of this project appears to be substantial, given the significant number of songs involved in the rollout.

We can likely identify at least seven, beginning with March’s “LWRW.” The list of characters includes “Bando Kid,” “LGLG,” “Murderman,” “H@E,” “OUTTA HERE,” and most recently “STRIKE OUT.” This one is the shortest, lasting only 1:34. This section could be the most aggressive and mean in its entirety. The majority of that energy is generated by the bombastic production, with Trippie displaying a more restrained delivery. He’s also conveying his fondness for Playboi Carti’s music through some of his vocal mannerisms. The most notable lyrical moment is clearly evident, as the rapper unleashes a shot at Dave Blunt, which can be viewed below. Trippie appears to be prioritizing his own unique interpretation of rage for his upcoming album, so it’s up to listeners to weigh in on that creative direction.
