Sheff G isn’t known for frequently releasing more sensual tracks, but he’s making an exception this weekend with “Never Again.” This new promotional single is part of his upcoming album, Proud of Myself, set to be released next Friday, November 22. It’s the second track released from the album, following the first single, “Today,” which debuted on November 1. In a similar vein, one of Sheff’s New York drill peers, Sleepy Hallow, is also teasing his album release. Hallow’s track, “Upgrade My Life,” shares a similar vibe to Sheff G’s “Never Again,” but with a more reflective tone.
The song focuses on Hallow’s desire to provide a better lifestyle for his mother while enjoying his own success. This single marks the second release from his upcoming project, READ THIS WHEN YOU WAKE UP, which lands on December 6. Compared to Sheff G’s offering, Hallow’s track leans more towards trap/pop rap. Alongside Lil Tecca, they express a commitment to mending relationships with the women they feel they’ve wronged.
