Paul Wall and DJ Fresh have gathered a talented group of lyricists to enlighten audiences about contemporary slang in their new track, “Underground Ambassador.” Enlisting familiar artists, the Houston native unites distinctive wordsmiths from various regions, including Freeway from Philadelphia, Berner from the Bay Area, Big K.R.I.T. representing Mississippi, Termanology from Massachusetts, and Rich The Factor from Kansas City. Each artist contributes their unique slang, encapsulating the essence of hard work and perseverance. This track serves as the lead single for Paul Wall’s upcoming album, which shares the same title.
This latest release continues the longstanding collaboration between Paul Wall and Termanology, who have previously worked together on two joint albums featuring guest appearances from Freeway and Big K.R.I.T. For years, Paul Wall has been a prominent figure in Houston hip-hop, known for his flashy style and engaging lyrics that often reflect cruising with booming bass. He was a key member of the original Swish House collective that dominated the hip-hop scene in the early 2000s. Recently, his hit “Still Trippin,” in collaboration with Mike Jones and Slim Thug, celebrated its 20th anniversary. The success of this track paved the way for Wall’s appearance on Ye’s iconic song “Drive Slow.” His new album is set to be released this month under his own label.
