Historically, the two artists were viewed as fierce rivals, embroiled in a well-documented feud that persisted until AKA’s tragic death in Durban.
The rapper was fatally shot outside a restaurant, and the perpetrators remain unidentified.
In an unexpected gesture, Cassper chose to pay homage to the late artist by performing AKA’s popular track All Eyes On Me, featuring Burna Boy, during a live show.
The performance elicited enthusiastic applause from the audience but also sparked a variety of reactions on social media.
Rapper L-Tido posted a video of the performance on Twitter, questioning, “Were they really enemies???” This inquiry quickly gained traction, igniting discussions among fans.
Some users pointed out that AKA had previously performed Cassper’s songs while he was alive.
One individual remarked, “Mega did the same thing once. I don’t remember you asking this question then.”
Conversely, others expressed skepticism regarding Cassper’s motives, suggesting that he was leveraging AKA’s music for his own benefit.
