EST Gee – RIP Lu Mike

EST Gee RIP Lu Mike

Louisville, Kentucky’s assertive rapper, EST Gee, is adopting a more subdued approach with his latest release, “RIP LU MIKE.” The title itself suggests a more reflective and poignant experience. Indeed, the track serves as a heartfelt tribute to his deceased friend, who, as indicated in the lyrics, took his own life. The emotional weight of the song is significant and may be challenging for some listeners. The lyrics convey a harrowing narrative: “RIP Lu Mike, took his own life, drawin’ down on his opponent / They eyes was closed, so they wouldn’t know, they just heard the four nick throwin’ / Even after he fell from shootin’ himself, you scared to walk down on him.”

The production, crafted by FOREVEROLLING and Marko Lenz, perfectly complements the somber mood of the track. It evokes a sense of sadness, eeriness, and beauty simultaneously, with the violin segments enhancing the emotional depth. This release marks the fourth single for EST Gee, following “NEVER NEED” featuring Selfpaid Savage in August, and the subsequent tracks “Go” and “The Streets” in November. All these songs, including “RIP LU MIKE,” are expected to be part of his upcoming project, I Ain’t Feeling You. In the meantime, listeners are encouraged to experience this poignant and impactful new release.
