In late August of this year, Nicki Minaj hinted at several tracks for the anticipated Pink Friday 2 Gag City Reloaded. However, this did not materialize as expected, aside from an additional segment of her extensive tour. Fortunately, not all was in vain during that Instagram Live session. The collaborations with Drake and Juice WRLD were the primary attraction, particularly one track that holds significant meaning for the Queen. Titled “Blonde Hair,” or “Girl With The Blonde Hair,” Nicki expressed, “It would be incredible for me I think to have Juice WRLD on this album.”
She elaborated, “Because before he passed that’s what we were talking about. He recorded a bunch of stuff when he was in my studio, but I don’t like to exploit people, and people’s deaths and stuff like that.” It appears that Nicki Minaj has successfully navigated these challenges, as “Arctic Tundra” has now officially been released and found a new platform. This revised title is included in the Tenth Anniversary Edition of her highly acclaimed 2014 album, The Pinkprint. Additionally, three other tracks feature on this fourth iteration of the album, showcasing collaborations with Swae Lee, David Guetta, Davido, and Parker Ignite. Overall, the journey for “Arctic Tundra” has been lengthy, with its origins tracing back to 2018.’
